Why they were kept

Exchange notices and annual reports link to specific files. Removing them breaks citations that exist in documents nobody controls.

Financial aggregators and research services reference them. Those links have accumulated over years.

And they could not be restored. A corporate filing removed from the issuer's own site is not recoverable from anywhere reliable.

Preserving 341 MB of static documents costs effectively nothing, and the alternative is destroying a public record for no gain.
